Here's an interesting and great idea for locking your helmet when not using it on your motorcycle. I hate when I arrive at my destination on my motorcycle to have to drag out small chains & locks, lock the helmet (with problems like dogs peeing on it if it's on the ground), or use hooks provided by some manufacturers but never are easy to use.
I currently have a small metal chain and lock which I use to lock my helmet to the handlebar, but it's not that handy.
Italian motorcycle accessory manufacturer, OJ Atmosfere Metropolitane  , has a nice solution. It's called the Helmo:
By changing the counterweight at the side of your handlebars, with their version, you get a nice anodized aluminium counterweight that includes a metal rod that is opened and closed with a key. Unlock it, it slides open, and you can place the hook inside your helmet strap. You then lock the device, and your helmet is safely and stored fast on your motorcycle.
You can even get a helmet cover to go with the unit.
