We mentioned them last year when they started as a crowd-funding project on Kickstarter (link Open link in a new window). But now that they got their funding, the final product is available for all to purchase.

HALO Open HALO link in a new window make LED strips that make you visible at night. They can be set to a strong and visible light, but can also be programmed to flash like a strobe light.

HALO Agusta

HALO make lights in the form of a belt, strips, a messenger bag (the kind that is slung on your back), and they even have a mini belt that can be very useful for pets or children.

HALO Belt

They currently have a sale going on. The original HALO belt is on sale for US$42.50. Just charge it with your USB connection/charger and off you go. At night you'll be seriously visible.

HALO Dog

The HALO MINI, usable for kids or pets goes for US$35.

HALO Rickshaw Bag

The messenger bag (made by Rickshaw Bagworks) is being sold for US$128.95.

The new HALO strips (2014 model) will cost you US$29.

So if you ride a lot at night, this should be of interest to you. Or if you like walking your dog (or cat, hamster or turtle) at night, this could increase both your safety.
