We've seen bicycles from BMW , Ducati and KTM . Once you're producing two wheeled transportation, making a bicycle is not that difficult, or a big step to make. Is it now Harley-Davidson's turn to make bicycles? The answer is NO. But... there's a but.... Harley used to make bicycles alongside their motorcycles. One of them, in a rare excellent condition, is up for sale at an auction. The Harley-Davidson bike was built in 1918, and was destined for children and young adults. Though the bicycle was attractive and well made, it did not sell well. The Harley-Davidson dealers just weren't interested in selling them. The price was pretty low, around US$30-45. This girl's bicycle is being auctioned, and they estimate a sale price around 100x it's original purchase price, so US$4,000-6,000. Not bad, 50 year investment, 100x return.... Is it me, or do the wheels look a bit strange? I wonder if it leaks??? Click here to access the auction site
