Hmmmm... remember my article on the book review "The Bostrom Conspiracy" {link}. I thought it was a bit too far fetched, but as I said, where's there's smoke there's fire. Now the other famous American road racer, Nicky Hayden is having his name associated to a drug scandal. Not Nicky himself, but his father, Earl Hayden.
According to MCN UK, Earl Hayden's car dealership, 2nd Chance Auto Sales, has a Vice President named James Payne, who deals with the day-to-day business, ie, the business manager.
He has just been charged by the DEA for money laundering for a drug gang. According to Richard Badaracco, assistant special agent for the DEA, said it was also suspected “he was providing vehicles to this drug organization” using Hayden's car dealership. Badaracco said Payne was charged with “two counts of money laundering” through the business.
There is no implication of Earl Hayden in this affair, he has not been arrested or accused.
