I always struggle to lock my helmet on my motorcycle when travelling. I never want to carry my helmet when I've arrived at my destination, and although my BMW has got a helmet lock, the Ducati or Suzuki doesn't. I do have a small chain and lock, but they take up room when not in use, usually stowed away in the Beemer's topcase, or in a backpack. And when riding two-up, it becomes more of an issue. Australian HelmetLok looks like it's the right product. HelmetLok comes in normal or rubberized versions, chrome or none, and as an extra option, you can get a cable to add extra things to the lock-up, or if your helmet doesn't have a D-ring. The HelmetLok can be fitted almost anywhere on your motorcycle; mirrors, frame, handlebar, etc. The added advantage is that it uses a combination lock instead of a key. I'm always nervous when using a padlock, and always check to see if I've still got the key before locking up. No need for that with a combination lock. If you're riding with a pillion, just get the chain, and this way you can secure both helmets. You can also secure other items with the lock, like jackets, tankbags, GPS, etc. Of course the cable is one quick snip away from being opened, but the main HelmetLok looks more than secure. Prices are not bad either: HelmetLok - Standard: A$20 - US$20 - UK£12 HelmetLok - Rubberized: A$25 - US$25 - UK£16 Cable: A$8 - US$8 - UK£5 HelmetLok with Cable - Standard: A$25 - US$ - UK£16 HelmetLok with Cable - Rubberized: A$30 - US$ - UK£19 Click here to access or buy HelmetLok
