It wasn't enough to sell making and selling 60,000,000 (yes, 60 million) Super Cub motorcycles, now Honda wants to continue and build on its success by introducing an all-electric version of the popular motorcycle. At the Tokyo Motor Show , Honda unveiled their concept electric Cub motorcycle. With a length of 1,994 mm and a wheelbase of 1,180 mm, the EV-Cub as it is called at this moment, is slimmer than the original Cub.
A big and powerful battery has been mounted in the center of the aluminium die-cast frame. What's more interesting is that the bike is a two-wheel drive system (2WD), with engines mounted inside the wheel, not in the motorcycle frame. This means that there's plenty of storage space below the saddle. Not much else has been communicated about the motorcycle, like range, speeds, etc. But for sure, you'll see this bike at a Honda dealer close to you shortly.
