Just a few facts and figures about the motorcycle exhibition Intermot in Germany. This year there are some 1070 exhibitors, down 30 from 2006, but the same space is occupied, since several have taken larger stand space. All Italian manufacturers are present, a first. All motorcycle manufacturers, and big accessory companies like Dainese, are there. Ducati has the biggest stand space, followed by BMW/Husqvarna. Last event, 2006, drew 187,000 visitors (52,000 were trade visitors), and the organizers are hoping to have the same number this year. The most expensive motorcycle shown at the exhibit is the "Gum Bus" (??), worth €250,000. Bikers who go and see the Suzuki Jump days can enter in Intermot for free. Friday is late opening (late for German standards, the fair is opened until 9 pm), and the last two hours are free to all (but there's not much you can see in 2 hours). A day ticket will cost you a maximum of €12 per person, depending on age and other things, cheaper than going to the movies. Check the website, click here
