Yamaha had a center stage setup, with in the center a big dome, from which their new models would ride. at the far side was the presenter's corner, and a place where they stored the motorcycles after they had been presented.

As usual, the big wigs presented first:

Here Mr. Masahiro Inumaru, executive officer of Yamaha Head Office from Japan presented his vision of why Yamaha was doing so well.

All this to the very attentive crowd of motorcycle journalists. We were hanging on his every word.... ;-)

Then they started riding out the 2009 motorcycles:

The first one is a small scooter meant for kids, the Neo's 4 (4 stands for 4 stroke, so no more heeeeeeee sounds from mopeds).

Intermot 2008 - Yamaha WR 125R motorcycles presentation

Next in line was the WR 125R motorcycle (nice artistic photo he?)

Intermot 2008 - Yamaha WR 125R motorcycles presentation

Not bad for a 125 cc.

Intermot 2008 - Yamaha WR 125X motorcycles presentation

Next was the WR 125X.

Intermot 2008 - Yamaha V-max motorcycles presentation

Next came my favorite, the new V-max.

Intermot 2008 - Yamaha XJ Diversion motorcycles presentation

Next was the XJ Diversion presented by a racing young lady. Anyone want to venture a guess who she is. You'll get a Princely reward... ;-)

Intermot 2008 - Yamaha XVS 950 A Midnight Star motorcycles presentation

And the next to last motorcycle presented was XVS 950 A "Midnight Star"; I will not bother you with the guessing game who the young and pretty lady is, since I don't know myself. But I do know she's the Playboy Playmate of the Year for Germany. And yes, she does ride motorcycles, she's got a R1....

Life's tough...

The YZF R1, flag ship motorcycle of Yamaha.

And that concludes our quick view of Yamaha. This is the last photo, and it's a cross section of the V-Max motorcycle. See you shortly...
