Although you don't need a specific day to ride your motorcycle, there is one day that is meant to draw the attention to females riding motorcycles, and that day is May the 6th, 2011. The International Female Ride Day is an initiative of Vicky Gray from the Motoress site, and has over the years received a very heavy international following. In its 5th edition, women from all corners of the world, every continent, take part. Most are organized in groups, though some ride solitary. As long as you are female, and you ride. Supported by a large number of international organizations, like FIM , the latest news is that the Russian Motorcycle Association (NRMF) has joined the support for the day and is promoting it to their members. As usual, photos of ride-outs are submitted and published, and there's even a Facebook group for people to hang out to discuss their rides. It looks like the International Female Ride Day is going to be even more successful than last year. There's even an official t-shirt, so if you can't do a ride that day, you can at least get the t-shirt .... So... are you going for a ride somewhere in the world?
