Four years ago a French publication was launched detailing some of the best roads to ride with your motorcycle here in France (link  ). Updated each year, many bikers, French and from abroad, use it as reference for their motorcycle trips.
So it was without surprise to see the publication arriving in an iPhone app format. The app, called "France moto" is published under the Petit Fute banner, and will give you detailed roadbooks for some 100 great rides, plus a lot of other useful information on your motorcycle.
The only problem I see is a) price and b) it's in French only. It's something many companies still do not see... the internet knows no boundaries, and they could have a great market if they looked further than their noses. After all, France is regularly invaded by different countries (I'm talking motorcycle invasion before the white flag jokes start appearing in the comments).

Though personally, I find the price very high for an electronic copy of the guide. Now if it was coupled to the onboard GPS, showing you the route and how to get back to it if you deviate, brining in more information via the 3G connection, then this would be a great application. In the mean time, I'd stick to apps like "Best Biking Roads " and "Greatest Roads ". And couple that with our own iPhone site "Motorcycle Friendly Accommodation in France ", and you're in business for your holidays...
