Remember the product review of the Raleri LCDrive motorcycle helmet visor we did last year (link ). If you didn't see it, have a look. The LCDrive is a visor insert that is based on LCD technology. Once the sunshine hits the visor, it instantaneously become dark. It's the bees knees; riding your motorcycle means that the light changes often, no matter what the weather is. Riding through tunnels, cities, forests and with scattered clouds, means changing light conditions. The Raleri LCDrive visor insert copes with that. I've been using the LCDrive ever since, and love it to death. And it would seem that I'm not the only one. The local motorcycle police from Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna, Italy have started using the inserts. It makes a lot of sense for bikers who are out day in, day out on their motorcycles, and you have to wonder why not all police forces around the world have taken to this technology. It just makes sense. Have a look at the video below, where you can see them putting in the inserts, and then going out on a (staged) patrol. Watching towards the end of the video is actually a bit reminiscent of watching a porno movie (at least so I've been told...). You expect the female cop at any time to take her uniform off, specially with the music in the background. For more information on the Raleri LCD visor, click here .
