The man many people love to hate, but don't. The chief presenter of BBC's Top Gear is known for his outspoken views, often mentioned using his recognizable sarcastic language. The popular presenter has made no bones about the motorcycle world and its riders {link}. He, as he has said, would like to string a line over the road and decapitate motorcycle riders. According to him, we wear Power Ranger Suits... Well, Mr. Clarkson was in Australia, and made several of his famous comments. He started by calling the Prime Minister of the UK, Gordon Brown, a "Scottish one eye idiot" (Gordon Brown has only one eye, the result of a sport injury when he was young). He also said it didn't matter if the French motorcycle stuntmen of the Australian Top Gear got killed. According to him "They're French so if they get killed it's not the end of the world." Must be nice working for a boss that has that attitude towards your safety..... He also doesn't really like the audience. He calls his fans "apes". He also once stated that lorry drivers murder prostitutes. Not bad for a man who gets paid UK£ 2 million to please those apes. I know that part of this is "show business". You take it with a barrel of salt. It's his view of entertainment, and he is very good at it. But he is getting worse the older he gets. Careless comments thrown around like that does not do good, even on a popular TV program. Calling the Prime Minister a one eye idiot is ridiculing a handicap. No matter if Gordon Brown is good or not at his job, making fun of a handicap is not good, even by Clarkson. Saying that it doesn't matter if stuntmen die, just because they are French, is plain stupid and ignorant. But then, it is Jeremy Clarkson we're talking about, and he carries those two terms well. Maybe one day some Scottish guy in a Power Ranger suit, riding a motorcycle, with only one eye, will show this ignorant small man the evil of his words. I've tuned out a long time ago from Top Gear.
