Riding longer distances on your motorcycle means that your head usually gets warm, especially when the sun is out. And with a warmer head, your head will start to sweat and therefore your hair is going to get sloppy (unless you are like me: bald).

When you put on your motorcycle helmet, your head goes right into the helmet, onto the lining at the top. That's the way it is supposed to be for safety reasons. No gap between the helmet and your head! But it also means that there is very little space for air to circulate.

Airhead

And that is what Airhead Open Airhead link in a new window from the Australian Twowheelcool Open Twowheelcool link in a new window website will prevent. The Airhead is a silicon membrane-like accessory that gets placed inside your helmet, on the top.

Airhead

So when you put the helmet on, your head now rests against the Airhead. The Airhead has lots of open spaces in between which is where air can circulate. Basically, it's a very simple but effective way of getting air circulating on the top of your head.

And when there's air, there's cooling down, and therefore no sweating and dirty flat hair. The Airhead itself can be taken out very easily and placed in a dishwasher to clean.

The Airhead comes in many different colors and patterns (not that you'll see it once it's inside the helmet).

Price around: A$29.95 / €24 / US$25
