What was supposed to be the last Enduro of Le Touquet, world's largest enduro race, has been cancelled !! So we are now deprived of seeing even the last and final one.
A couple of weeks ago, the environmentalists finally managed to persuade the city council of Le Touquet to stop hosting this unique event. So for a few people who want peace & quit and to preserve dunes, 300,000 spectators, 1,000 competitors from all of the world and a whole city must now suffer ! Think of all those B&B's, hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ferries and all others that stood to gain from this race.
ASO, the organizers (they also organize the Dakar race and the Tour de France), have thrown in the towel.
