For those of you who camp, especially when getting there on your motorcycles, you know that the smaller and lighter your tent, the better. Camping usually means that you're bring a lot more stuff with you than just a tent. Sleeping bag, cooking stuff, food, beer, portable TV, microwave .. etc. It all takes up space on your motorcycle. So the smaller and lighter your tent, the more beer you can take with you. The Sea to Summit Specialist tent is so lightweight, it can blow away if someone farts. The Single person tent weighs 22 oz (625 grams), while the Duo version weighs 29 oz (846 grams). You can even make it a lot lighter by using trekking poles (minus 200 grams) instead of the supplied aluminum poles. And it doesn't take up much space on your motorcycle. It takes up so little space (27 x 10 cm for the Duo) that you could almost fit it in a Nalgene bottle and easily store it anywhere on your bike. They're not cheap, but if you think about the space you'll save, it might be worth it. The Single will cost you around US$429, the Duo US$499.
