Liquid Image , a company specialized in making sports video cameras, released at the last CES show in Las Vegas, their latest video camera named Torque HD.
The Torque HD camera is fitted in goggles you can wear with most motorcycle helmets, so there is no camera mounted to the exterior of your helmet. The camera is High Definition, recording full HD mode, 1080p and 1920 x 1080. Using this full HD mode, the camera records at 30 frames per second (fps), but if you want to see your action in great slow-motion, you can record in 720p at 60 fps. You'll see full detail of every bug on every rock, even if you are blasting past it at high speeds on your motorcycle, since the camera has 12 megapixels, and can shoot in continuous Photo Mode.
What makes the Torque HD goggles even more interesting, is that the camera transmits in WiFi, and with the smartphone app coming, you can not only record the stream on your iPhone or Android mobile phone, but you can actually control it remotely. The lens has a 136° wide angle lens onboard. The lens itself can be pivoted 30 degrees within the housing of the goggle, allowing you to adjust the angle.
Apart from the WiFi connection, the Torque HD goggles has a Micro SD card slot and a USB 2.0 connection to download your movies. The user replaceable and rechargeable Lithium battery will give you 2 hours of continuous recording time.
