I hear it all the time. Bikers who do not want to listen to music while riding their motorcycle because they are afraid they will not hear the traffic noise. Like a car hitting the brakes to avoid you, squealing past you. Like a cop car behind you trying to get you to pull over for a cavity search. Like that pretty girl (guy) whistling at you to pull over for some fun. Well, if that is your worry your time for on-the-road-entertainment has come. EarHero is a company that produces earbuds (earphones) of a special kind. They look like regular earbuds, but they have been made in such a way that you can still hear what is going on around you. To make a complicated story easy, essentially it means that the earbud in your ear has holes in them that allow sound from around you to mix in with the sound coming from the earbud. In other words, you can hear the traffic. Of course, if you believe that loud pipes save lives, you'll be hearing your pipes a lot better, and probably none of the music, but that's another story. My only concern is how much sound gets blocked. The main reason I have earbuds in my ear is to prevent me from going (even more) deaf. EarHero have two versions of the earbud; both cost US$149, and one is made for the Secret Service type folks, meaning no one can see that you are listening to your controller....
