I seem to be stuck with articles coming from Belarus. Monday we were able to show you the M1nsk Open M1nsk in a new window TRX 300i (link Open link in a new window), a carbon-copy motorcycle of the BMW 800GS, minus the big engine (the M1nsk is 250cc), and today we noticed that the Belarus manufacturer also proposes an electric motorcycle, the Upa Upa 500e Open Upa Upa 500e link in a new window (we also showed you an advertisement coming from Belarus on Tuesday).

M1nsk Upa Upa 500E

Maybe the use of the word "motorcycle" is a bit overkill, it's more an eBike, an electrically powered bicycle. In other words a motorcycle which also has pedals to go faster and further. But the Upa Upa 500e is funky looking, that's for sure.

You can get it in several colors, and the 500w engine will get you riding for 50 kilometers. If you want to go further you can pedal the Upa Upa for as far as you can pedal a 55kg bicycle.

The Li-ion battery is charged in 4 hours. The M1nsk even has a small lockable compartment to store small stuff.

Not cheap, from one of the few Russian dealers I was able to find, it's listed at 16,330,000 rubles, which according to the web is close to 34,000 Euros.... gulp.
