Marc Coma , one of the two "alien" Dakar racers (the other being Cyril Despres), will compete in the upcoming Baja 500 desert race. The Spanish motorcycle rider is well used to riding in the desert and enduro; you just need to have watched the Dakar to know that. On June the 2nd, he will be entering the race on an official KTM North America 450cc enduro motorcycle. His almost instinct-driven navigation skills that has seen him win 3 Dakar races in the past, will be of no use to him, since in Baja 500 the race track is signposted. It's all up to riding skills. This is a not a well know test in Europe, but this race is one of the most important races in the off road world, so I didn't want to miss an opportunity like this. After many seasons running, I have the lust to do new things and now I feel I am in a great shape to do it. It is a different race format that we are used to, but we will take advantage of the prior days to train and get used to what we can find the day of the race".
