Not a new idea , but a workable one. Carrying a pillion on your motorcycle can often be a question of safety, especially when the pillion is a young one. But your pillion does need to be a kid, adults often feel uncomfortable on the back of a motorcycle. They'll be concerned that they might fall backwards during an acceleration, or simply fall sideways. Holding on for dear life to the biker is not fun over long distances. Several ways of keeping your pillion "tied" to you exist already (see related article below). Here's a variant that looks like it could work, specially with young kids. Called Moto-Grip , the belt & harness system is made out of resistant polyester with padded hand grips to hold on to. The harness itself is designed to withhold a pull of 900 Kg (2,000 pounds) and a pillion with weight of 136 kg (300 pounds). The Moto-Grip comes in two versions, the adult one, costing US$179.95 and the Jr. one, costing you US$79.95. Kind of expensive, but how much does it cost you to replace your spouse or kid? I nearly lost my SWMBOShe Who Must Be Obeyed on a long ride when she fell asleep. Click here to access the Moto-Grip site .
