Motorcycle riders often go camping. There's something that bounds both hobbies. Don't ask me why, it's just so. The problem though is that you are limited in what you can take with you on your motorcycle; tents, sleeping bags, gear, SWMBOShe Who Must Be Obeyed, etc. Let's face it, a tent takes up the 2nd most space on your motorcycle (you can guess what the 1st one is). So why not go camping without a tent. The Bivanorak is a multi-element tool, a bit like a Swiss Army knife or Leatherman. It's a bivy bag, sleeping bag cover, rain garment, windbreaker, shelter and a one person tent (kind of). It weights 650 grams (1 lb 7 oz). The Bivanorak was designed for the Swedish Air Force as part of an emergency kit. The Bivanorak slips over your normal sleeping bag and keeps it dry. So this way you can sleep in your bag and still keep dry. I mean, when you sleep, it doesn't really matter if you're in a pup tent or one of these. If you really want to stay dry, you can use their Tarp . It's small and provides a good enough shelter. The Bivanorak ain't cheap, but it could be useful. Price: US$ 175.00. The Tarps start at US$60.00 Click here for more information (Thanks Randall Robinson)
