The design of motorcycles has been unchanged for as long as they have existed. Based on a motorized bicycle, the design is very much as it was in the beginning of time. Until Joey Ruiter , a designer, got his hands on one. Joey set out to redesign a motorcycle, and called it "Moto Undone". The motorcycle got stripped out of all the things that make it an interesting vehicle, instead it has become "just" an object of transportation. The motorcycle is electric, powered by a 1000w 48 Volt engine, with a range of some 90 miles. Like the Mini Electric Scooter (article ), all the motorcycle information (speed, range, etc) are displayed via a smartphone. The first thing I noticed when I saw the photo was that it's almost stealth-like, almost invisible. Maybe not such a good thing with all the accidents that happen because the car drivers didn't see the motorcycle. But still, it's an interesting concept. You can actually see the electric motorcycle at the Grand Rapids Art Museum between September 21 and October 9 2011. Click here to read and see more photos of the Moto Undone . (Thanks Ian R.)
