Here's a great idea for those of you about to get hitched. Go on your honeymoon on your motorcycle, and don't come back from months. Go and explore, do a RTWRound The World trip, an adventure ride of a lifetime. UK based Mike and Alanna Clear got married, and decided to go for a challenging honeymoon motorcycle ride. They are riding from Anchorage, Alaska to Ushuaia , the most Southern part of South America on a Ural sidecar motorcycle, a 20,000 mile trip. They are planning to spend Christmas in the Tierra del Fugo with their family. © Mike and Alanna Clear | So instead of receiving 3 mixers, 6 salad bowls and 2 toasters, they asked all their family and friends to donate parts of the motorcycle, like cables, tires or even a night in a hotel on the way. They both quit their jobs, remortgaged their home and set of on their journey. But as we all know, many marriages fail, specially at the beginning, and being stuck together through difficult parts of a journey, could be a sure recipe for failure. But then on the other hand, if they are real soul-mates, it's got to be the best bonding experience ever. To make further use of the trip, they are producing a documentary about relationships, called "Going The Distance ". On the way, they interview couples, getting an international, cosmopolitan perspective on relationships. Like many modern-day folks doing something interesting, they have a frequently updated blog, with many videos and photos, not only from the trip, but also the people they meet. It's a pretty interesting concept; long distance motorcycle honeymoon. It'll be interesting to see the documentary. It'll beat the Dynamic Duo's (Ewan and Charlie) Wrong Way Round, since they are doing the whole trip with no support crew. Click here to read their blog .
