Motorcycle Rest Stops 24 Hours Of Le Mans 2010

April

As usual with any big motorcycle event, the French Angry Biker Association (FFMCFederation Francaise des Motards en Colere - Angry French Biker Association, an association of bikers fighting for the rights of motorcycle riders), the local government and other organizations have put in place several motorcycle/biker rest places along the most used stretches of highway to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This year is not different, there are many stops where you can get your motorcycle checked, your visors cleaned, your tire pressure adjusted, or where you can get a bite or drink. It's also a great meeting place...

25 Hours Le Mans 2010

So here are the motorcycle rest stops (called Relais Calmos Motards) for the 24 Hours of Le Mans Open link in a new window motorcycle race held 17-18 April (but the first rest places are already open on Thursday the 15th).

Autoroutes
: Some autoroutes are going to be free for motorcycles, but which ones has not been published yet. Best is to ask before getting on the autoroute at the toll booth (peage). Usually it means you take your entry ticket at the toll booth, and at the exit, there should be an exit point indicated for motorcycles. There, you hand in your ticket, and you are let through.

Have fun, but watch out.
