Score: Plot: 4 Acting: 2 Visual: 4 Sound: 4 Nudity: None Gore: Some | 1990: The Bronx Warriors is a seriously cheesy sci-fi biker flick, with totally over-acting, weird scenes & people and a lot of motorcycles. I just love it. It's one of those movies that is not meant to be art, or high value, just mindless entertainment. The motorcycles gang are the good-bad guys for a change, living in the Bronx, New York that has been declared a no-man land (isn't that the case anyway??), with bikers governing that area of New York (which often is actually Manhattan, but who wants to be picky). This 1982 movie can be surreal at times, with strange scenes, and even stranger gangs, like the roller hockey gang, scavenger gang and the weirdest of them all, the tap dancer gang. In this 92 minutes long movie, the only name/face you'll likely recognize is Fred Williamson. As I said, the actors mostly over-act, you know, highly dramatic, and since the movie was originally in Italian, the dubbed version in English accentuates the over-acting. And since the movie was made in 1982, it's funny to see the old technology that is supposed to be the future. One thing... RayBan must have sold out a year's production to supply everyone with their sunglasses.... everyone wears one. According to the opening credits, the Hells Angels participated in this movie, but they must have removed their patch, since you can't see a single one. Plot: In the not too distant future, New York is ruled by the sinister Corporation and the Bronx is a no-man's land controlled by various savage gangs. When the daughter of the Corporation's President runs away with the gang leader Trash, the company sends in Hammer, the most feared cop on the force. As Trash unites such diverse gangs as The Rollers and The Ogres to defend themselves, Hammer readies his troops for a last-ditch battle guaranteed to leave no survivors... The Bronx will burn for revenge. Quotes; "Do something you haven't done in a long time. Think" "You're the biggest son of a bitch in the world. You're afraid somebody might remember you were born in the Bronx? " "I think it's time we got even" "You fuck! It could be a pile of shit out of someone's asshole!" "Step on it. Make them shit in their pants" "Stay. At least dying for you will give my life a meaning". Verdict: Despite the really bad over-acting, it's a watchable movie. Strange characters, bad dialogues don't take away from the story-line which is not bad. If you want to see a movie with a lot of motorcycles, and I mean a lot, this is it.
