Score: Plot: 3 Acting: 3 Visual: 4 Sound: 4 Nudity: Topless Gore: None | The released in 2011, 90 minutes long, Born to Ride is billed as a biker movie, and it is, kind of. The story center around two Harley-Davidson motorcycle riders who are on the way to Sturgis, but get themselves into all sort of trouble. The movie starts a bit disjointed, with several characters who look alike, so in the beginning I found it a bit difficult to follow. The plot is pretty thin, unrealistic at times. What starts as a serious action flick, halfway turns into a comedy (whether it's intentional or not). There's a lot of motorcycles, though mainly centered around the two main characters. It shows that bikers stick up for their own, and that the bad guys are really bad...
Quotes: "You want to be stuck in that trailer for the rest of your life?" "Choices... In life you have to make them" "Look, I don't want to have to tell you this, but tonight you are going to have to die". "He's a couple of sandwiches shy of a picnic". Plot: Mike decides to hit the road on his refurbished classic motorcycle along with best buddy Alex, but their trek takes a surprising turn when they become involved in a plan involving political blackmail, corruption, and dirty money. Carrying evidence that could get them killed at any minute, the boys are chased on the open road but turn their skills to their own advantage. Verdict:: I've seen better, but I've seen a lot worse. The plot is a bit thin and contrived, sometimes requiring a big stretch of the imagination, but overall it's not bad. It looks more like a made-for-TV movie, but the movie is watchable. Throw on top of that a lot of motorcycle action, bikers and pretty girls, and you've got something to do when it's raining and there's not football on the TV.
