Score: Plot: 4 Acting: 4 Visual: 4 Sound: 4 Nudity: None Gore: None | Interesting recent movie (from 2008) with lots of motorcycle action, but as usual, the bikers are the bad guys (and a few gals). In the 93 minute long movie "Exit Speed", not only are the motorcycle riders bad down to the core, they are totally crazy, a la "Mad Max". High on meth (from the movie I'd say you can really ride great motorcycle when high on meth..), they go after anything that moves. The movie is a motorcycle stunts galore, all pretty well executed, and none accomplished with CGIComputer-generated imagery is the application of the field of computer graphics or, more specifically, 3D computer graphics to special effects in films, television programs, commercials, simulators and simulation generally, and printed media. Video games usually use real-time computer graphics (rarely referred to as CGI), but may also include pre-rendered "cut scenes" and intro movies that would be typical CGI applications. These are sometimes referred to as FMV (Full motion video). CGI is used for visual effects because computer generated effects are more controllable than other more physically based processes, such as constructing miniatures for effects shots or hiring extras for crowd scenes, and because it allows the creation of images that would not be feasible using any other technology. It can also allow a single artist to produce content without the use of actors, expensive set pieces, or props.; they were obviously real motorcycle stunts. The bikes in the movie are a large assortment of crotch rockets, but all bikers were dressed up the way you'd dress up for a cruiser. None of the bikers have any text to say, not even a grunt, so no names for the bad bikers. I'll spoil a bit of the end of the plot for you... I don't think that there's anyone in the movie that has not been shot or hurt badly, nobody! Plot:: On Christmas Eve, ten strangers board a bus traveling across Texas. Far out in the wilds they collide with a meth-addicted biker. Forced off the road by other members of the motorcycle gang, the passengers take refuge in the hell hole of an abandoned scrap yard. They use improvised weapons and sheer guts to mount a defense against the murderous bikers but, as their numbers dwindle, they realize that their survival depends on doing the unthinkable. They must go on the offensive. Quotes: "Lady, go fuck yourself! ... That, I did have to do when you were in the shower". "Oh man, we're totally screwed". "I don't know what you're doing, but keep doing it". "Bikers are like locusts". "Bikers aren't afraid of anything". Verdict: Very watchable movie, with lots of motorcycles racing around doing stunts. There's a real plot and decent acting, making the movie a-okay in my books. Watch the trailer below for a view of the movie.
