One thing is for sure, Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann is original. It's a biker Sci-Fi movie, where a motorcycle meets the past, in this case the good old Western days. So what you get is a motorcycle against horses. It has all the traditional western characters, bad cowboys, prospectors, sexy damsel, reverend with a gun, etc.
This 1982 movie lasts 94 minutes. As movie scripts go, it's not half bad. It's not a blockbuster, and the acting will never have been nominated for an Oscar, but decent enough.
Quotes: "You shot it. What a bunch of dumb sons of bitches, you *shot* it! A *machine* - you butt-heads!" "Whoever he is, he sure can ride a bike" "God almighty, does anyone read me" "You were very lucky, they are real bad men... no shit"
Plot: Lyle, a motorcycle champion is traveling the Mexican desert, when he find himself in the action radius of a time machine. So he find himself one century back in the past between rapists, thieves and murderers....
Verdict: Not a bad Sci-Fi motorcycle movie, not a big Hollywood production, but a decent script. Loads of motocross riding, and most of that in the past. Haven't we all dreamt of that...
