Ever had a thing you needed a manual for? Not just a motorcycle, but anything.Maybe you bought a "pre-owned" motorcycle on eBay which came without a manual, or you just lost yours (like I do with every motorcycle I have). Or you threw away the user manual for your TV, microwave oven or vibrator... and now you can't remember that special function.
Here's a web site that could just save the day: SafeManuals.com .
SafeManuals.com stores 500,000+ user manuals on-line. It's free, and you'll find most motorcycle manufacturers on-line, but also every appliance you can think off.
I've already recovered my Ducati's manual (though it's the precedent model, 1000, while I have a 1100, but that's close enough). Not all motorcycles are covered (yet), for example, BMW is there, but cars only (I've just uploaded some BMW motorcycle ones). Manuals come in different languages, so if English is not your mother tongue, you might just be in luck.
If you have a manual, you can upload it to the site. This way, the site becomes a real community project. Manuals must be in Adobe Acrobat format (.PDF), and can not exceed 60 Mbytes.
This is one site that deserves a bookmark in your browser. They even include the html code to incorporate the manual search and download to embed inside your own site or blog.
