Netherlands: New Style Countdown Red Light Being Tested |

In a city (Den Bosch) in The Netherlands, they are testing a new style red light. Instead of going directly from red to green, 3 seconds before jumping to green, in the place where the orange light is, you'll see a count down from 3 seconds to lift-off.
This is the same theory of red-to-orange-to-green lights you see in some countries.
Probably the reason is that people leave the red lights faster, since they don't need to go into gear once the light is green, they can do it when the countdown starts.
But to be honest, I'll bet you that this is a great tool for some drag racing with your motorcycle....
