The purchase of an electric scooter in Paris will now cost you 25% less. That's what the city of Paris will pay you to buy one of these electric 2-wheelers. But if you think you can buy a gold-plated Vectrix, forget it; the 25% cap is at €400. So all you get back is a maximum of €400. But still, it's not bad. Also, your scoot is not allowed to be able to go faster than 45 kph, i.e., a moped category. There are already some 40 charging stations available in Paris, with more on their way (See above map. Click on map to see a bigger version). Recharging your vehicle is FREE, all you need is a special access card which you obtain from the City Hall (Marie de Paris). Also free is parking for all electric vehicles, be it cars or electric 2-wheels. Paris even have a dedicated website for electric vehicles. Click here to access it (in French).
