There you go; it's going to be official, so you'd better read this...
The Vatican is proposing to add to the Seven Deadly Sins, the Sin of Polluting the Earth (plus a few more sins). It should be a bit like one of the Ten Commandments: Though Shall Not Pollute!
So according to the Church, driving around in your 20 year old Yugo is a sin, and you can and will be damned for eternity in hell (as if riding around in a Yugo wasn't enough of living in a hell).
Apart from Eco-sinning, they are also talking about gene manipulation, capitalism (huh?), drugs, abortion and paedophilia being major sins. They should form part of the 21st Century Sins.
Pope Benedict XVI is showing the way in fighting pollution. The Eco-Pope (sounds catchy) has led leading a youth festival where participants used recycled prayer books, biodegradable plates and backpacks made from reused nylon. He is further installing solar panel and LED lights in the Vatican.
So now you know. Dump (properly) your old motorcycle, and buy an electric one. If not.....
