Well, the first press conference is over and done with. Honda was first on the starting blocks, with the only real conference (the rest are done of the stands). Everyone is herded into a room, equipped with wireless headsets with 6 languages. Everything was taped beforehand, so no live speeches. There were viewing angles from every positions. The journalists from all over the world were looking at each other....kind of strange. In the middle of the room, there was a center stage with three wrapped up motorcycles. During the video, the motorcycles were unwrapped. The first motorcycle presented was the Honda Transalp. They were followed by the CBF and the Fireblade. After the presentation, we all headed over to the Honda stand. While waiting for the "new" models to be unwrapped, here's a quick view of a nice lineup. CBR Fireblade. A little intermezzo, here's the Griffon. The CBF... Here's the detail of the lon/lat coordinates that are printed on the fairing of the new Transalps. And finally, here's the new and pimped-out Transalp. More about the Honda motorcycles over the next few days, this is just a quick preview... to wet your appetites.
