As reported earlier {link} - {link}, the Paris motorcycle exhibition, the "Mondial du Deux Roues", is cancelled this year, and moved to fall 2010. No exact dates are known yet, but until this year, the Mondial was alternating with Intermot, and now it not only gets to compete with Intermot but also EICMA (Germany & Italy respectively). Not a good sign, since it's the smallest show of the big three. The bicycle show that was planned for the same period this year is maintained, since it would seem that the bicycle manufacturers are suffering less. The Mondial was cancelled since Honda, BMW, Yamaha and Harley-Davidson had not registered for the show, and without them, it would not make any sense to continue. To make matters worse, tongues are wagging at this moment, saying that the likes of Honda and possibly Yamaha may not even attend EICMA. That would mean that this year is a write-off for the major motorcycle shows. Sad.... this is when you really feel the economic crisis!
