Every motorcycle exhibition has stuff that is difficult to categorize in a single article; too long, too short or too weird. And the Parisian Le Salon de la Moto Open link in a new window is no exception.

Here are some of the odds & ends I found when walking around the motorcycle exhibition:

First Responders

We all know that first responders can do their best work when they arrive the quickest way possible to the emergency. Motorcycles are by far the fastest way of getting there, and the manufacturers know that.

The inside however has been transformed. The top case and side cases contain all the medical equipment necessary for the medic pillion.

This one took me by surprise. It's a Yamaha XT2100Z (that is what was written on the signs, though I think they meant XT1200Z) Super Tenere.

Called the Continental GT, it's a beautiful cafe racer like the way they used to make in the old days.

With a 535 cc engine, 30 hp and 44 Nm torque at 4000 rpm, the bike will not win a drag race, but with a bike like this, who needs to.

There is even an old fashion kickstarter, but if you don't want to do that, there is also an electrical starter.
