Remember those storage lockers you find at airports and railroads? Insert a few coins, open the door, place your luggage in it, and go about your business. Well, Motosafe  is conceived around the same idea.
You arrive at your destination on your motorcycle or scooter, go to a Motosafe, insert a coin, enter your motorcycle, close the door, and off you go to do your shopping or whatever the reason you came for.
It's a sure way to safely park your ride if there are no guarded parking spaces available, plus you can leave your accessories, helmets and even leathers on the bike since it has a shelf and coat hangers for storing your gear.. So, all-in-all, a nifty idea.
The product comes from a UK company, Motosafe . Their Motosafe secure motorcycle parking comes in different formats, for small motorcycles or scooters, to big motorcycles, with space for a work bench.
The unit is made from heavy duty galvanized steel (1.2 mm) with up and over door with no external hinges, 10mm thick locking bars with secure ground fixing points. Three external locking points high security, anti-drill and anti-saw padlocks are included, and the door has a power operated six bolt electric lock. Motosafe is powered by a 12 volt DC system, solar powered and with a backup battery in each unit.
Inside there is internal lighting and a foot operated manual door release should the door accidentally close whilst the unit is occupied. There is a movement sensor to detect movement inside each unit after the door closes.
The Moto Safe can not only be bought by cities (as is currently the case in the UK), but also by private individuals. I don't think you'll be allowed to place it on the road, but in the garden, you get a pretty safe motorcycle storage unit. The only thing is you could run out of coins...
The cheapest Moto Safe will set you back UK£929.79, while the biggest costs UK£1,125.53. Not cheap, but definitely save.
