Pharaons: Another Aprilia Motorcycle Wins Over KTM |

A couple of days ago we wrote about a possible new challenger to KTM's dominant position in the world of off-road racing, particularly in epic events like the Dakar rally (click here to read the article  ). At that moment, an Aprilia won the first stage of the Pharaons Rally with Francisco “Chaleco” Lopez winning on his Aprilia RXV450 motorcycle.

Stage 3 saw yet another Aprilia win, with Gerard Farres riding. 2nd place went to Chaleco on his Aprilia. Marc Coma, multiple winner of the Dakar, ended in 6th place on Stage 3, and 3rd overall with 12 minutes behind. The interesting thing is that Marc Coma is riding a KTM 690.
Despite the many KTM entered in the race, in the top 10 spots, 6 KTM, 3 Aprilia and 1 Yamaha. A year or two ago it would have been 10 KTM in the top 10 spots.
