There is nothing more scarier for a motorcycle rider at night than to have a close encounter with a rather large animal, like a horse, deer, boar or even a big dog. Many bikers have lost their lives after crashing into one of these animals, usually at night.
But the Finnish group Albedo 100 have got an ideal solution. They have developed a spray paint that is harmless to animals, but reflects light at night. You can spray it on fur (like on dogs) and even hides (like horses). During the day, you will not notice the paint, but at night, when lights shine on them, they reflect the paint. Just look at the video below to get the idea.
They have different types of paints, some dissolve with water, others are permanent, some are invisible in daylight, others have a color.
In Finland, where they have massive populations of reindeer, it's dangerous to ride at night, especially through one of their many forests. So what are these smart Finns doing? They are herding the reindeer, and spray painting their antlers with this paint. Now you can see a reindeer when riding at night. Cool.
So now all you need to do is spray paint wild boars, and while you're at it, paint some grizzly bears. Or if you live in Africa, some lions..
Yes, they also make sprays to use on objects, like your bicycle or jacket.
