Many see trailers as a necessary evil, a device that you at times need to use, even if you don't want to. We prefer to ride our motorcycles, not stare at it in the mirror of our car. But sometimes you just can't help it, you need to trailer your motorcycle.
The classic trailers work well, they are a proven system, but there are smarter alternatives (see related articles below). here's one interestingly designed trailer for motorcycle. It's called the AirTrailer , and it's from The Netherlands.
One look at this photos, and you don't really see why this is interesting. It looks nice, but that's about it. But what this trailer can do, what many can't do is this:
Can you see what it can do? Let's look at it with only one motorcycle on it:
The rear end "bends" down, allowing you to put the motorcycle(s) on the trailer by yourself. You don't need any help. Of course, on a classic style trailer with a loading ramp, if you have a light motocross bike, it's not really an issue. But try that with a heavy motorcycle, like a Gold Wing, or any fully dressed badger.
I once tried riding up my BMW R1150GS onto a classic trailer.... big mistake. With this AirTrailer, no problem. The trailer inclines at the rear. There's no loading ramp. The trailer uses a smartly designed pneumatic system, and the front wheels of your motorcycle is "locked" in with a tilting mechanism.
The other problem many bikers have with trailers is that there's never enough space in a garage for a trailer. I know I have that problem. A trailer has an enormous footprint, taking up a lot of usable space in my garage.
The Airtrailer will not give you that headache:
It stands on it's rear, and it's done quite easily.
You can see how all this works in this video.
Prices: €2541 for a single bike trailer, €3388 for a double bike trailer. Other options exists, like with coupled braking etc.

|Thursday, June 6th, 2013 - Trailing Your Motorcycle, An Easy and Handy Way|
#HitchHelper #Trailer - Sometimes we just can't help it. We need to trailer our motorcycle. Like when the bike is broken and it needs to go to hospital, or just to go somewhere via car and use your motorcycle later on.
But one category of people who at times trailer their motorcycle, but have some problems doing so, are people who go on holidays with a caravan or even with a boat or horses. If you have a caravan or boat/horse trailer, you already have a trailer, and the only way you can bring your motorcycle is if you've got a truck and load it in the back. Not very elegant, plus you forfeit a lot of storage space.
Hitch Helper is the solution for you. What Hitch Helper is, is a separate mini-trailer that gets placed in between your car and your actual trailer or caravan. It's narrow, so your motorcycle gets loaded sideways, but the trailer is load-bearing that carries the weight by itself, not via your car. So it's better for your car...........

Interesting idea if it weren't for the price tag. Having a trailer can be a blessing, but often you are faced with the dilemma on what to do with a trailer. They take up a lot of space in the garage.
Tow-N-Stow is a trailer, that when not in used you stand up, and use as storage.
