Apart from the famous Dakar rally, Morocco also knows 2 other main motorcycle rally/enduros; the "Rallye du Maroc" and the "AMV Shamrock". Both of them are tough, not as tough as the Dakar but hard enough, and both are held in the South of Morocco in the desert country.
In today's difficult economies, it only made sense to merge both races. Contestants can not afford to pay for two races any more, so a new motorcycle enduro/rally has been created from the two previous ones, the "NPO: Rallye du Maroc AMV Shamrock".
The rally is held starting 21st of September until 27 September. The race is open to professionals and privateers. You can participate in the Enduro portion, or the Rally portion. The Rally motorcycles have a range of 190 kilometers, the Enduro 90 kilometers.

If the costs are still too high for you, you can partner with another rider. It'll cost you €2900 for a single rider, and €4100 for two riders and one motorcycle (the transport of your motorcycle from Paris, Lyon or Marseilles to Morocco will cost you €450). You can also decide to stay in the bivouac, sleeping in tents, or you can choose to sleep in hotels along the way.
The organizers, NPO, also have a VIP program; This program can be used by sponsors or family/friends of the contestants. It allows these people to see the whole race, or only the last 3 days.
