The 2009 edition of the "Rallye du Maroc Shamrock" is starting next week as final race in the FIM 2009 schedule. The Shamrock rally has always been seen as the final testing ground for motorcycles, cars and trucks before the Dakar rally, and this year is no exception.
All the big names in motorcycle rallies will take part, with the usual contenders Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, but also Jordi Viladoms and Pal Anders Ullevalseter.
The start is on the 24th of October and the finish on the 30th of that month.
To give you a little taste of the race, here's a video produced by the organizers of the race. There's no spoken words, but the text on the video is in French, but that shouldn't bother you from getting a glimpse of what awaits the competitors.
