Although designed for bicycles, this prototype gadget could be easily adapted for motorcycles. It's the Cerevellum Rearview Monitor, consisting of a small camera, 3.5" LCD monitor and 32 Mb of memory.. On any normal motorcycle, it would be a total overkill, but on a sports or super-sports motorcycle, especially a track one, this could be an interesting device.
When you're bent over your fuel tank, lowering your aerodynamic profile, you can't really see what's behind you. On race tracks, the motorcycles don't even have mirrors. Place the small LCD monitor along side your dash, and you have a perfect rearview mirror. It's going to be even more interesting when they produce the unit with a heart-rate monitor... Price: Around US$ 200. The unit is not available yet, and the website has gone into a secrecy cloud. Click here to access their site
