Take one Ducati Desmosedici, new or used, sprinkle the tires with studs, find a rider who has recently escaped from the lunatic asylum, stir, and you're in business.... |
This is exactly what was done a bit over a month ago. Ducati's test rider, Vittoriano Guareschi, took the Desmosedici on frozen lake during the MotoGP Press Ski Meeting.
The motorcycle was equipped with Bridgestone studded tires used for Ice Road Racing, plus a few changes to the brake system were needed.
In the end, you get a 200+ mph MotoGP motorcycle that rides on ice!
