Even for someone like me, who lives on the other side of the world, in the sticks, I've heard of a couple of famous gathering places for passionate motorcycle riders. Ace Cafe  (London), Alice's Restaurant and Rock Store spring to mind. There are of course many more, but anyone in the know, has heard of Rock Store.
Rock Store is a legendary biker gathering place, where hard-core motorcycle riders gather, mingled with celebrities, biker gangs, and Sunday riders.
Now, even if you don't live in California, you can get a taste o fthe place. A documentary has been produced and is doing the rounds of the film festivals. The film is called "Ed & Vern's Rock Store".
As the description goes of the movie, Ed & Vern bought a gas station and convenience store in the heart of the Santa Monica Mountains. Mulholland Highway  would never be the same again.
The movie features motorcycle riding celebs like Jay Leno and Chad McQueen, and is narrated by Peter Cullen. Famous Hollywood motorcycle stuntman, Joe Bucaro, worked as the consultant.
