There's something about motorcycles that attracts Formula One racers. Something that draws them like flies to honey covered croissants. What would it be? .... fun, speed, acceleration, adrenaline are a few of the things that springs to my mind what might attract a F1 racer to the world of motorcycles. But then, I could be wrong... Sebastian Vettel trying out a Marcus Walz motorcycle | Current F1 world champion, German Sebastian Vettel is the latest to be seduced by the world of powered two wheels. Following in the footsteps of his former team mate, Kimi Raikkonen , or maybe from the motorcycle adventures of former Formula One God Michael Schumacher , Sebastian Vettel has opted for the same designer of sexy and fast motorcycle choppers, his countryman Marcus Walz . Other F1 racers include (the list is bigger) Ayrton Senna , David Coulthard , Emerson Fittipaldi , Jacky Ickx , Juan Pablo Montoya , Mika Hakkinen , and of course the only man to have won both F1 and MotoGP titles, John Surtees . Vettel has commissioned Marcus Walz to customize the Avalanche , a chopper based on a 120 hp engine and a total length of 1780 mm. The custom motorcycle will be presented to him during the Italian Grand Prix in September. Cost? A mere €100,000! Chomp change of a World Champ. His F1 car will probably come close to the sensations his new motorcycle will give him.
