One of world's biggest (in terms of participants - 1000+ motorcycles, and spectators, between 2-500,000) beach motorcycle enduros, the Le Touquet Enduropale  , is held this weekend. Initially created by the same person who created the famous Dakar race, this is a crazy and wacky race.
If you can't come and see it, and if you don't live in France and therefore can't see it on one of the two big TV channels transmitting the race live, you can still see it.
In fact, one of the big national TV channels, France3, is transmitting 5 live feeds via the web. You'll be able to play the TV producer, since you'll be able to select the view you want.
On Sunday, 12:50 (CET - Central European Time, GMT+1)), tune in to the web and enjoy the show. It's in French, but you'll know what to do... it's easy.
The 5 camera positions are seen on the right of the image, and the camera you select will be shown in the main window.
Tip: At the start, you've got to see 1,000+ motorcycle racing away in the deep beach sand. It's always very impressive, since there's water, sand, and a few folks who are trying to win the holeshot:
But the real interesting stuff is at the end of the + 8 kilometers long circuit. That's when 1,000+ motorcycle need to go after the holeshot into a funnel.
Not to be missed.
The race lasts 3 hours. This year, a memorial service will be held for last year's winner, Timotei Potisek, who died tragically in a training accident on his motorcycle (link)..
