If anyone thinks that running a website is easy, think again. You are continuously bombarded by virus, spam, DOS attacks, hackers, technical issues ... you name the plague, I've had it. Often I get to the point of chucking it all in. Yesterday was yet another one of those days. I use two ad networks, the biggest being Google and the 2nd being ValueClick. One of ValueClick's clients had embedded in their ad the malware. I would have though that ValueClick would check every ad before they put it out, but I was wrong (the 3rd kind is the one I place myself, like my current sponsor RevZilla). And since I can't check these ads myself, I've taken out this supplier of ads. It does mean a miss of money to keep the site running. For the time being while I search for a better alternative, I've put a PayPal/VISA donate button. If that proves to equal the withdrawn ads, I'll just keep it there. In the mean time I need to find something that I can trust. So, if you can, donate, if not, cool, the site remains up and running until I find another ad supplier that either I control or I trust.
