Girls are getting into motorcycles in a big way. Women buying motorcycles for themselves is the biggest purchasing groups for any manufacturer. And all that is a good thing for the motorcycle industry in general. But girls are also going for motorcycle racing. Fast track racing sees many more ladies racing then ever before. In the enduro world and rally world, females up at the top ranking are not uncommon. Just look at the number of females riding in the 2009 Dakar, and look at their position, and you know that it's only a matter of time before one of them wins this prestigious event. And the latest motorcycle sport to see women competing, is in the Supermoto arena. The lucky Italians are fielding a whole, female-only, Supermoto Team. Aptly named the "Sliding Angels" , this team consists of four racers on KTM motorcycles. Mary, LaMarty, Ira and Alyssa are the nicknames of the Fab Four. The first two are also into kick boxing, while the last two are into jogging, so they are fit. I bet they can kick ass, on and off the track. They will be competing in the local Italian Supermoto championships. Good on'em. Good luck! Click here to read more about them (in Italian).
