I guess nowadays you can smell like anything you want, there's a fragrance for it. BMW  , in a promotion effort, have a Cologne perfume for men that smells of oil.
It's called 15W-50 Eau de Cologne, based on the high performance motor oil, it's a spray that can be used for men. It's a real fragrance, with a "hint" of oil. This way you don't really need to be working on your motorcycle to get the "oil smell", you just spray it on, hoping that the ladies will admire you for working on your own bike....
