Looks like a very good use of motorcycles. In Southern Sudan, the maternal mortality is the highest in the world. According to the United Nations, a 15 year old girl has a higher chance of dying in childbirth than finishing school. 1 out of 6 women die in childbirth! UNICEF have donated these 5 of special motorcycles with sidecar hoping to prevent this. The motorcycles are meant to bring pregnant women to proper healthcare clinics. The roads in these remote parts of the country are not meant for cars, so these motorcycles are life saving. The patient is strapped in with a seatbelt. The project is still under test. The $6,000 motorcycles, if successful, will be extended to other regions. It's good to see that motorcycles are deemed worthy in some countries...
